[3rd Anniversary Hatcher] Part #1 - Fire Monsters

October 10 is the 3rd Anniversary of Monster Strike. There is going to be a free hatcher where you pick an element and pick one of the 5 monsters with that element to keep.

Now lets run down these monsters by element. Even if you don't play JP or care about the hatcher, this is going to informative for MS players everywhere since this series will note the current meta and the high-end monsters of the game.

Also, don't forget to vote on this blog! Help vote on which element I should roll for the hatcher!

The 37 Possible Hatcher Monsters

The OPs

The top Fire monsters in the game are dominated by its Wood Slayers. Himiko can practically be used in any Wood dungeon due to her base Wood Slayer ability in conjunction of her powerful Ex Laser. Her NGB counterpart in Sakamoto Ryoma deals a lot more damage with his Bump Combo in his recent Transcension.

Rounding out the top 3 is Agnamut X. The two Wood Slayers are very useful in any Wood dungeon, Agnamut X is the best monster in other element dungeons including Wood dungeons. Her Mine Sweeper XL deals x3 more damage when she has a mine and she has a NGB to increase her viability. Her SS is flexible since you can use it to mob clear as well as doing a lot of damage to the Boss.

One Rank Under

Of course you won't be guaranteed to roll the top 3 monsters and you might have them already. These monsters are just below them but they are strong in their own right!

Starting off is Micha with her new Transcension. She has NGB and NDW now which makes her capable of running a ton of dungeons. The thing that makes her fall off is her overall damage. Her Bump Combos are nothing amazing and her SS is more for utility than damage.

Next up is Sanada Yukimura. She is a powerhouse in terms of damage. She also have a Counter Slayer to deal massive damage with any type of enemy. The bad part is that her SS is more effective if the Boss has a GB around them and that she only has one Null ability.

Upping Your Box

These monsters are not crazy strong but they bring in the tools for you to make your box more diverse!

First up is Sun Wukong. He is the OG Hakwa Speed Up monster and still is today. He also has a Blast bump to proc the high damaging bumps from Himiko, Sanada or Ryoma.

Azazel is one of the recent monsters that has taken MS by storm. He was one of the reasons that brought back the Fire hatcher after being non-existent for months. The main strength for him is the 12 turn Command SS which you can proc multiple times throughout the dungeons. He also very good for some hard Tower Floors like 33F.

The Niche Picks

These guys are more for the end-game players who basically have all the OPs and just need that one monster to make their lives a lot easier.

Lin Zi with his Etherean Slayer L is an OP pick for Kushinada Zero. He makes Kush Zero runs very easy so he helps for the Impossible farmers out there.

Next is Nazca for the players who wants someone for 23F. She makes the dungeon less impossible with her Deity Slayer M and short CD on her SS.

The Potential

There are not a lot of Fire monsters that have crazy potential in the future. The only one is Lancelot X since there are rumors of a Transcension coming up for him and his Water counterpart. Even a small improvement to his Bump Combo turning into a Lock-on will make his usability 100 times higher.

Overall Summary

In general, Fire monsters are more geared to Wood dungeons and less on overall viability. You can never go wrong with multiple Himikos since you can do the Asc form or Ryomas since you can put one Evo for 33F. Also Fire monsters have niche monsters that helps players clear the more frustrating Tower Floors like 23F and 33F.
