[3rd Anniversary Hatcher] Part #3 - Wood Monsters

The Hatcher is almost here! Time for the Wood!

The Possible 39 Hatcher Monsters

The OPs

Well it is pretty obvious that Gabriel is arguably the number one monster in the game. Even if you have one Gabriel already, you will probably want the Asc version for some Colossal (Nirai Kanai) or Impossible (Doom, Yamato Zero) dungeons.

Robin Hood is one of the most recent OP in the game. The Bump Combo that deals damage to all enemies on the map is very effective in mob clearing. Also depending on his positioning, it can be used to deal massive damage to a Boss since the shockwaves shoots in a straight line. Finally, both forms of Robin Hood are very strong and they cover 3 of the 4 big hazards in the game: Gravity Barriers, Mines, and Warps.

Rounding off the top 3 is Hunter King. Although he is relatively old school in terms of his damage, he still does a lot of damage! In addition, his SS is still one of the highest single-target damaging Strike Shot in the game.

One Rank Under

Valkyrie is just a beast in damage. However she is not an OP because her optimal damage requires mechanics from the player which is more demanding from a monster like Hunter King. She will be pretty useless if you can't hit her Tag Laser / Wave and her special Bash SS.

Although Apollo X can easily deal damage when you compare to like a Hunter King, the SS difference is pretty huge. Apollo's does some damage but it is mainly to position for her Bump Combo.

Upping Your Box

Mammon is probably the most popular Power monster in the game. The uniqueness of his SS synergies well with his slow speed because you don't need speed to pinch.

While Wood monsters have a ton of damage at the top, Nibelung is the best supportive Wood monster in the game. Plus she is a NGB+NDW monster which is one of the fewest combinations. Her Delay SS is very valuable and her Bump Combo does some decent damage.

Ibaraki Doji is a heavy hitter with her powerful Bump Combo. The thing is that you will want more than one of her to increase her potential damage. Also her SS is very good for safety.

The Niche Picks

Ame no Uzume is very sought after for the higher end players just because of the difficult dungeon in the 38F of the Tower. Her Null Magic Circle negates the mass amount of the hazard in the dungeon.

Yang Jian is mainly for Yamato Takeru Zero. It is very hard for beginners since the viable pool is very limited. There are some OPs in the viable list but Yang Jian's kit counters the needle panels the best with his short CD on his Immune SS.

The Potential

Tini and Snow Bow are both getting Transcensions in October and November respectively. Therefore there is a lot of hope on them being strong monsters. Also for Snow Bow being an Anime monster with a lot of build up for her Transcension (they actually made 2 songs for it) so she is pushing to be a top 10 Wood monster.

For Persephone, there aren't a lot of dungeons for her right now. She is a very new monster but her damage from her Bump Combo and SS will make waves in the future.

Overall Summary

Wood monsters has probably the most OP monster in the game in Gabriel. However, Wood does have the most hatcher monsters out of the 5 elements. Therefore, the chances of getting each monster is lower (if the rates are unified).
